Dog Reactivity Workshop

If you're dealing with dog reactivity issues, this group class will help you take back control of your dog and stop human and/or dog reactivity. This client-only workshop provides specific instruction, support, and guidance on how to manage dog and people reactivity using your dog's e-collar and other effective tools and techniques. Topics include:

  • Why a strong leader is paramount

  • Consistent obedience is the building block

  • What causes your dog's reactivity

  • Different types of reactivity

  • Body language and identifying the first signs of reactivity

  • Keeping you and your dog calm 

  • Using the e-collar to stop reactivity

  • Alternative corrections to stop reactivity 

  • The "No Staring" rule

  • Advocating for your dog


We'll inspect your dog's e-collar for fit and function and review your dog's overall obedience before working with you and your dog around other client dogs and give you the knowledge and confidence to stop reactivity once and for all. The class will take place in and outside of our training center in Flamborough.

We understand that consistency can be a challenge when it comes to maintaining your dog's obedience. That's why we are offering our

Obedience Refresher Workshop to help get you and your furry friend back on track. In this 2-hour group session, we focus on reinforcing all of the previously learned commands, spotting and correcting common mistakes, and building on your dog's obedience skills. Sign up now and continue enjoying a well-behaved and happy off-leash dog!

Topics include:

  • E-collar equipment check.

  • Getting back to the perfect heel.

  • To leash or not to leash.

  • Re-establishing strong recall.

  • Dealing with reactivity.

  • A strong down command is non-negotiable.

  • Importance of using hand signals. 

  • Working around distractions.

  • Advocating for your dog in public.

  • Advanced commands. 

  • Address any specific issues you may be having.
