There aren’t any words that can describe how amazing Scott from Perfect Dog For Life is! I brought my 4 y.o dog Duke to him, worried he might be too old to see good results from the one-week training program. Scott not only proved me wrong but absolutely wowed me with Duke's transformation.
Scott put in all the work needed for me to take over and continue the training exercises with Duke so that I could feel better about taking him on walks without him being all over the place. I couldn’t believe this wasn’t some scam, and after one week, my dog actually listens to me, but it’s real! Not to mention Scott’s transparency throughout the entire training process made me feel comfortable knowing my Duke is in great hands.
Duke is a 4-year-old Aussiedoodle who WAS scared of loud/or sudden noises, ran at small children, pulled so hard my arm would hurt after a walk, and jumped on family no matter how old and frail out of pure excitement. When I came to pick Duke up, not only was he trained out of all those bad habits, but he’s also easily correctable when it comes to stepping out of line.
Scott didn’t only train Duke; he trained me! He gave me the confidence to properly correct my dog and walk him like I am the boss. Scott took his time during our handoff; instead of just sending me off with Duke, we trained under Scott’s supervision for as long as he deemed necessary. When Scott tells you to call him if anything, he means it. He cares about your dog and you!

We invested in the 2 week board and train off leash program to help with River’s reactivity, recall and leash manners. We ultimately learned how to be confident leaders and take control of our relationship with her. Scott sent us daily video updates and seeing the progress and results were mind blowing. We appreciate the patience he showed her as well as encouragement, not just with her but us as well. Scott is also an excellent educator. He knows his stuff! We definitely have a better understanding and realization of things we were doing that contributed to River’s behaviour and he’s given us to knowledge and tools to manage and overcome them. It’s been a few days since River came home and we are amazed at how much walks with her as well as recall have improved. She isn’t even bothered with other dogs we see on walks. It is a freeing experience for both of us. I can’t recommend this program enough. We are on the path to a stronger bond with our dog built on trust, reliable communication, and confidence which helps her live her best life. Thank you Scott!!!

We go to great lengths to ensure that our E-Collar training is the right fit for both you and your dog. We carefully review every training application we receive, and our head trainer, Scott, speaks directly with every potential client before accepting the dog.
This allows us to fully understand the challenges you're experiencing, how they're affecting your daily life, and whether our training is the right solution. We only accept dogs we genuinely believe we can help.
How quickly will I see results?
With our Board & Train Programs, you will see a dramatic difference within the first few days, with full off-leash reliability by the end of the two-week program. With private lessons, the results can be just as amazing if you follow our guidance and support.
Do I have to buy my own e-collar system?
No. A complete E-Collar Technologies System is included with all of our programs. We custom-fit your dog with the most appropriate E-Collar and accessories to ensure safe, comfortable control of your dog with the extras that make it convenient and easy to use.
If you already have E-Collar equipment, we're happy to evaluate the gear you have to ensure it is appropriate for you and your dog.
Before I decided to e-collar train my dog, I was a fervent believer in positive-only training. After Hazel turned 20 months and still didn't come when called and just ignored my NOs, I decided to try the e-collar. I did a lot of research and talked to different trainers in the GTA, but Scott seemed like the best fit despite the higher cost.
I am so happy and pleased with what Scott taught me in just 4 lessons. Hazel has turned from a dog who couldn't care less what I demanded from her, to a dog that has an almost perfect recall and an amazing heel... Scott will be my forever trainer, and I can wholeheartedly recommend him.
