We sent our 3-yr old Boxer, Nacho, to Scott and the Perfect Dog for Life team on a 7-day board & train. Nacho was a good boy but tended to get overly excited about people, dogs and other distractions. He pulled on walks and had an unreliable stay and recall.
Scott had Nacho walking loosely at his heel by day 2! By the end of the week, he was sitting off leash in a busy Costco, while shoppers passed by all around. Overall, he’s a calmer dog, looking to us for guidance, and his training is already making our lives much better.
While Nacho was with Scott, we received daily pictures and videos. The dogs sleep in Scott’s home instead of a kennel, which made a big difference for us. It’s clear Scott treats the animals well and cares about their success.

Before Perfect Dog for Life, taking her for a walk, even in secluded areas brought out anxiety and fear as she was reactive to everything, her threshold was so far, (almost 50meters) so taking her out and about was not an option. Coaxed by trainers and advice pages to use positive reinforcements and treats only gave us no results.
With Daisy now a 'graduate' of Scott's program, we have taken her out, walked past dogs, cyclists, children, joggers and even a chipmunk with almost perfect neutrality.
The gift Scott has given us of peace and the confidence to be a strong leader for our girl is phenomenal, and we will be forever grateful for him showing Daisy that the world isn't so scary if she just follows our lead.

Yes. Our distraction training course is built specifically to prepare dogs for real environments like Hamilton's downtown core, parks and trails, not just quiet backyards.
Where is your Training Center located?
Our training facility is located in Flamborough, which is rural North Hamilton, not far from Valens Conservation Area. There's easy access from Highway 6. Clients tell us they love the beautiful drive in the country!

Do I have to buy my own e-collar system?
No. A complete Ecollar Technologies System is included with all of our programs. We custom-fit your dog with the most appropriate e-collar and accessories to ensure safe, comfortable control of your dog with the extras that make it convenient and easy to use.
If you already have e-collar equipment, we're happy to evaluate the gear you have to ensure it is appropriate for you and your dog.
